Functional Analysis


Functional analysis decomposes a system into smaller functions and defines how these interact internally within the system. It defines the interactions between system functions through flows that are consumed or produced by individual equipment. This facilitates in comprehending the behaviour of the system which can be further correlated with the data generated from different sensors of the equipment to anticipate breakdowns.

Causal Analysis


Causal analysis enables in visualising the associations between the contributory indicators and the corresponding events.  It helps in establishing the cause and effect relationships. Our solution, KASEM®, includes a provision to capture the knowledge of the technical and maintenance experts in the industry. Using this input, our system continuously learns and improves itself to finetune the solution to the client’s environment.

Dysfunctional Analysis


FMECA, Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis, provides a systematic understanding of the relationships between the causes and effects of failure. It identifies distinct degradation modes and, provides a means to specify the qualitative criticality of the failures of the sub-systems. It helps in pinpointing probable failures in a system by analysing the effects of failures in its sub-systems.

Dysfunctional Analysis


HAZOP, Hazard and Operability Analysis, provides guidelines to assess the deviations of flow extracted from the functional interactions between the equipment, the environment, the functions and sub-functions. It identifies the effects and consequences when the system deviates from normal behaviour and recommends the safeguards and corrective actions to be taken to minimize the risk.
